Representative Randy Truitt was featured in a recent edition of Indiana Education Insight. Today, many Hoosiers are being challenged to do more with less, and state government is no exception.  As state revenues have fallen sharply, our schools, which comprise well over 50 percent of the state’s budget, have had to bear some of the burden impacting every other area of state government.

Randy was recently named to the Interim Study Committee on Education.  The committee will make policy recommendations to the Indiana General Assembly when it reconvenes in January.  In response, Randy stated, "I am eager to roll up my sleeves and get to work on the committee."...

In this important election, the local education community has made a choice to support State Representative Randy Truitt for re-election to House District 26.  Truitt has been endorsed by TIPPEWA, the organization which represents local teachers.  "I am truly honored by the support of the education community," stated Truitt.  "Education remains a top priority for me, and I will continue to fight for education funding reform and more local control and flexibility of education dollars."
